About Us

The Regency International Clinic provides world class medical services and surgery in central London. You’ll find us in Nile Street, a short drive from Harley Street.

We offer a wide range of services, some of which are unique. We believe we are the first and possibly only clinic to offer Fallopian Tube Catheterisation in London, the Middle East and the Gulf region as an alternative to IVF for patients with blocked fallopian tubes.

MEET OUR PEOPLE

Mr Henry Okosun

Our medical director is Mr Henry Okosun MRCOG, who has over 20 years’ experience as a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist in the UK NHS, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria. His philosophy is to give all patients the highest standard of care and best possible experience at every stage of their journey.Mr Okosun holds Master Degrees in Assisted Reproduction Technology and Leadership. A British graduate, he has three postgraduate degrees and his special interests are clinical risk management, infertility, IVF, vaginal wall surgery, colposcopy and keyhole surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy).

Dr Stephen Burke

Our cousultant radiologist is Dr Stephen John Burke FRCR, who has over 15 years’ experience as a consultant radiologist in the NHS. He is passionate about musculoskeletal and sports medicine imaging and was involved in the Hospital’s preparations for the London 2012 Olympics. He runs a twice weekly MSK Ultrasound session jointly with a consultant Physiotherapist, performing therapeutic image guided injections and aspirations as well as Ultrasound guided shoulder hydro-distension. He is skilled in image guided drainage and biopsy procedures and passionate about teaching on Ultrasound courses.

As the Lead Chest Radiologist I am responsible for close liaison with the Respiratory physicians and performs image guided lung biopsies. He teaches at various level such as PGCert training in MSK Ultrasound at University of East London, Reporting Radiographers, Radiology medical trainees, emergency medicine ultrasound, physiotherapist, GPs and thoracic medicine trainees; and practical hands-on training. He is an accomplished medical writer with about 12 peer reviewed articles and a regular contributor to the well-received Homerton Sports Medicine Symposia

Mrs OLIVIA RUFAI. BSc (Hons, UK), PGDip, PGCert.

Olivia works at King’s College Hospital London as a Clinical specialist ultrasonographer and privately at Regency International Clinic London and has over 15 years’ experience.

At the King’s College Hospital, Olivia deputises for the ultrasound clinical specialist manager, served as an independent reporter in all areas of ultrasound and engages in the delivery of training for radiologist & doctors, research fellow, medical students, sonographer and student radiographer.

She is a member of the Allied Health Professional UK.

Supporting our consultants are an experienced Nurse in Charge, Business Manager, Secretary and Administrative Officer. All do their utmost to ensure every aspect of your treatment is handled efficiently and respectfully.

Mr Fortune Iwuagwu

Mr Iwuagwu has over 20 years’ experience in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, with specialist knowledge in breast and hand reconstruction, skin cancer surgery and body contouring procedures. He gained extensive expertise in the UK and USA before becoming Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon at St Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns and lead reconstructive plastic surgeon at London’s Whipps Cross University Hospital where he developed the breast reconstruction service (immediate and delayed) following mastectomy for cancer. He is active in the training of junior surgeons and currently Chairman and Course Director of the Core Skills in Hand Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. He’s also on the Intercollegiate Board of Examiners for Plastic Surgery and an examiner for the exit exam in plastic surgery (FRCS plastic surgery).

Mr Faiz Mumtaz

Mr Mumtaz trained at the Royal Free Hospital, University College Hospital and various general district hospitals in the North Thames region. He’s an experienced laparoscopic surgeon with a specialist interest in minimally invasive urological cancer surgery and has introduced robotic assisted laparoscopic urological surgery in his Trust. He is now Consultant Urological Surgeon at the Royal Free and Chase Farm Hospitals.

Mr Mumtaz is also an academic urologist, having been involved in laboratory-based research on prostate, bladder and kidney cancer and in various clinical trials. He has well over 200 publications and has presented at meetings globally. He reviews worldwide articles for various peer-reviewed journals and is chief editor of a first book on the management of urological emergencies. He’s also the external examiner for higher urological postgraduate degrees for several institutions and is actively involved in raising funds for research.

Mr Abedini Alireza

Dr Abedini has over 17 years’ experience in General Internal Medicine, with specialization in cardiology. He gained extensive expertise in Turkey and Romania. He was a consultant cardiologist and Senior Medical Doctor in Romania and a Member of the European Society of Cardiology. He is fluent in several languages including English, Romania, Turkish and Persian
