Infertility in Men

Male infertility can be due to sperm problems, including absent sperm (azospermia), low sperm, dead sperm, immotile sperm and high sperm abnormality. Sexual problems can also affect male fertility, including impotence, dry ejaculation, decline in libido and hormonal imbalance.Male Infertility – DiagnosisIt is straightforward to diagnose male infertility problems using semen analysis (SFA) or sperm testing. However, further investigation may be needed to work out the underlying cause and decide on the appropriate treatment for you.
Seminal Fluid Analysis (SFA)
Patients are advised to avoid sexual intercourse for 2-3 days before the test. We perform the test between 9:30am to 1:30pm Monday to Friday and results may be available the same day if a sperm function test is not required. You may need medication to improve the quality and quantity of your sperm in order to achieve a spontaneous natural pregnancy or increase your chances of success with IVF.
